User Led Organisations Development

Welcome

This area of the NCIL website has been developed to provide information and share learning about developing and sustaining user led organisations.

A user led organisation is an organisation that is led and controlled by disabled people, other people who use support services and cares. The government has accepted the recommendation that there should be a user led organisation in every local authority area. In particular it is designed for the action and learning sites funded by the Department of Health to tell others what they are doing and to learn from each other.

If you have any information or documents that you think may be useful to other organisations or individuals and you would like to have it added to the site, please e-mail it to webcontent@ncil.org.uk and we will consider adding it to our database.

You can also register to use the forum and discuss issues of interest or concern with other people in user led organisations
