Management & Governance

By ‘governance' and ‘management', we mean ‘the systems and processes concerned with ensuring the overall direction, effectiveness, supervision and accountability of an organisation.' Good governance is key to a successful organisation and in ULOs, this will usually be provided by a board of Trustees.

In your ULO, what systems are in place to enable Trustees to monitor activities? How do your Trustees ensure that the ULO stays true to its vision and values? How do you recruit and retain Trustees? What opportunities do Trustees have for contact with members and service users?
