Discussion Forum
The discussion forum is provided by NCIL as a resource for Centres for Independent Living, disabled people and their advisors. It is open access - anyone can join. You have a password to prevent other people from posting in your name. The forums are for discussion related to independent living, direct payments and individual budgets. We hope that the forums encourage an exchange of ideas and knowledge but would always recommend that if people are seeking information that they wish to act on that is of a legal nature that they seek professional legal advice.
We have added more features to this discussion forum which includes an option to hide your email when you register. To edit your existing details click the profile link (on the top right of page when you enter the forum) and enter your password to edit your details.
We would urge all those using the forums to take all necessary precautions to protect their personal identity and advise caution with regard to the amount of personal information that you share on the forum.
The search facility is very useful if you want look at all the postings on a particular subject.
