Sue Bott is the Chief Executive.
Banane Nafeh - Information Advisor
Banane Nafeh is the Information Advisor and deals with enquiries about independent living, direct payments, personal budgets and much more. She is also in charge of NCIL‘s information library, publications and factsheets and looks after the database of local disabled people‘s organisations.
Ben Hockliffe - Communications and Development Manager
Ben Hockliffe is the Communications and Development Manager. He is responsible for improving two-way communications between NCIL and its member organisations around the country, as well as providing support to organisations who are in the process of setting up centres for independent living. He is also currently setting up regional networking events for user led organisations.
Karen Earl - Project Assistant, Experts by Experience
Karen Earl is the Project assistant for experts by experience and works to coordinate inspections with the Care Quality Commission. She works with experts, inspectors and seven other member ULOs. Between them they provide Experts by Experience with inspections across different service user groups, including Mental Health and learning disabilities.
Roy Hiscock - Finance Manager
Roy Hiscock is the Finance Manager and keeps all the financial records of NCIL and makes sure that all income is received and payments made on time. He is responsible for preparing management and statutory accounts. He also prepares budgets and cash flows, advising managers as and when necessary.
Bernd Sass - Policy and External Relations Manager
Bernd Sass is the Policy and External Relations Manager. He advises and responds to consultations on policies and green papers relevant to independent living. He also writes bids for and carries out projects with partners whose focus is pan-disability or disability specific. He also consults with NCIL members and feeds back their views to government departments.
Naomi Adams - Information Officer
Naomi Adams is the Information Officer. She designs NCIL‘s publications and is working on improving the organisation's web presence. She complies and edits the Independently magazine and coordinates the fortnightly e-bulletin.
