Who can apply?
Organisations of disabled people – which means organisations that have a minimum of 75% controlling interest by local disabled people and that have a constitutional and/or operational commitment to at least two of the following:
- Independent Living
- Direct Payments/Individual Budgets
- Social Model of Disability
- Support of/for Personal Assistance Users
You must give evidence of this, usually by providing a copy of your organisation’s constitution. If your constitution does not meet the above we will ask you to explain how you qualify. Final decisions on class of membership will be made by the Management Board. Organisations who meet the above will have full voting rights.
